Meet the Team!
UCSB Moot Court was founded in September 2019 by Alexandra Pigeon and Faiz Surani. We’re an entirely student-run program that competes primarily in American Moot Court Association-sponsored competitions.
We’re a tight knit group of students from all different backgrounds—we have political science, data science, and history majors, to name just a few. In just the past few years, we’ve won individual awards, top tournament placements, and even three national championships. But mostly, we do moot court because we like to sit around and argue with our friends about the law. If that sounds like fun to you, we’d love to have you too.
